Well, my website now has some great artists participating. I received permission from Derek Prospero, Mike Swanson, and Vicky Brago-Mitchell to use their amazing wallpaper on the site.
I am not positive, but I do believe that Mike Swanson has some of his wallpaper packaged with Windows Vista. I am 99% sure actually, the background picture which is a shot a leaf (macro) is identical to the one he has posted on his own site.
What I find amazing is that these talented people are so willing to share their work, their talent is amazing and I cant thank them enough.
Check them out on Digital Default.

The Beauty of Web Design
I have spent the past several nights banging my head against the wall. I am the type of person that always needs a project or challenge to keep me occupied, not to say that I don't need downtime either.
About a month ago I had an idea to create a website that allowed artists and photographers to post their work and receive comments and ratings of their posts. Programming has always come easy to me as I have spent most of my life behind a computer. I have not touched web related programming for several years when I became involved with my "project".
The website has come a long way since day one and for the most part is functional. The downside is that as I am building on functionality to the site I am learning that the methods I have been using to build the site were not up to par. After reading articles I found major security problems in my code. When trying to add a new feature I find that the way I structured my database wont allow me to perform the functions I need to accomplish.
Spending hours making corrections, mostly by hand, I have everything running as it should. So a lesson to share with everyone, plan, plan, plan, plan, plan, and plan. With some extra planning in the beginning I could have saved myself a headache and a head sized hole in my wall.
To see my latest creation please visit www.digitaldefault.com
It is full of high resolution wallpaper and should be easy to navigate and download.
I hope everyone has a good experience when they visit, I know I had a good time creating it...for the most part.
